When everything feels like too much, a long to-do list can make things heavier. This card flips that around: it breaks the day into tiny, gentle steps so a single shower, one glass of water, or one text back to a friend counts as a real win you get to mark off.
Use it for yourself, or print a few to share in a support group or with someone you care about. Keep the squares below, or swap in the small things that feel manageable for you — the point is to be on your own side, not to keep score against yourself.
These are just a starting point — swap in your own words in the editor before you print.
Lower the bar on purpose
A win does not have to be big. Marking "got out of bed" or "drank water" is real progress on a low day, so write the squares small enough that you can actually reach them.
Play it with a support buddy
Share a card with a friend, a group, or a loved one and check in on each other. Cheering on someone else can make your own small steps feel a little lighter too.
Celebrate, do not grade
There is no losing here. Some days you fill the whole card and some days one square is plenty, and both of those are okay — the goal is kindness, not a perfect score.
Edit every square. Open the card in the editor, keep the suggested squares or replace them with your own words, emoji, or photos, and pick a theme that fits the day.
Print a whole set at once. Each card is shuffled from the same square list, so every player gets a unique grid. Print to standard letter or A4 paper on any home printer — or order professionally printed cards shipped to your door.
Or play live. Share one link and a QR code and the whole room plays from their phones, in person or over video.
Is this depression bingo a treatment for depression?
No. This is a gentle self-care and awareness activity, not medical advice or a diagnostic tool. It can support a routine, but it is not a substitute for care from a doctor or therapist. If you are struggling, please reach out to a professional or a support line.
How do I make my own self-care card?
Open the editor, pick a calm theme, and keep the suggested squares or replace them with the small acts of care that feel doable for you. Print one for yourself or a set to share with a group, all in a couple of minutes.
Can I use this with a support group or therapist?
Yes. Many people use a card like this in a support group, with a counselor, or with a friend as a low-pressure way to build gentle routines and check in. It works best as a supportive add-on alongside real care, never instead of it.
What if I cannot fill in any squares today?
That is genuinely okay, and it does not mean you failed. Resting and getting through a hard day is itself something. Be as gentle with yourself as you would be with a friend, and if the heaviness lasts, please talk to someone you trust or a professional.
