Kwanzaa Bingo Cards

A meaningful game for the seven days — hand out cards of things to spot at the celebration, from the kinara being lit to the unity cup passed around, and the first to a line calls bingo.

Free to design and print · edit any square · 3×3, 4×4, or 5×5

Kwanzaa bingo gives the family and community a shared game across the week-long observance. Start from the Nguzo Saba template, keep the squares below or write your own, and you have cards ready to print in minutes for the home gathering, a classroom, or a community event.

The squares honor the real symbols and principles of Kwanzaa — the kinara and its seven candles, the mkeka mat, muhindi corn, the unity cup, and the seven principles themselves. Because every card is shuffled from the same list, no two players share a grid, so a whole community can play together.

Ideas for your game
  • Light a principle each day

Tie squares to the seven principles of the Nguzo Saba — mark one each night as the family lights its candle and talks about umoja, ujima, or imani.

  • Use it to share the symbols

In a classroom or family setting, pause on each square to explain what the kinara, mkeka, or muhindi mean, so the game teaches the meaning behind Kwanzaa.

  • Print a stack or play on phones

Print a batch for the karamu feast, or share one link and a QR code so relatives across the country join the same game during the celebration.

Editable and printable

Edit every square. Open the card in the editor, keep the suggested squares or replace them with your own words, emoji, or photos, and pick a theme that fits the day.

Print a whole set at once. Each card is shuffled from the same square list, so every player gets a unique grid. Print to standard letter or A4 paper on any home printer — or order professionally printed cards shipped to your door.

Or play live. Share one link and a QR code and the whole room plays from their phones, in person or over video.

Questions

How do I make Kwanzaa bingo cards for free?

Open the editor, pick the Nguzo Saba theme, keep the suggested squares or type your own, and print. A basic set is free to design and print without paying.

What are the seven principles on the card?

They are the Nguzo Saba — umoja, kujichagulia, ujima, ujamaa, nia, kuumba, and imani. Each appears as a square so you can reflect on one per day of Kwanzaa.

How many cards do I need?

One per player. Each card is randomly shuffled from the same square list, so a whole community can play together and everyone still gets a unique grid.

Can I print them on regular paper?

Yes. The print view is sized for standard letter and A4 paper, so any home printer works. You can also order professionally printed cards for a keepsake.
